Central Asia Institute
The Central Asia Institute are a series of schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan built for kids who want an education but dont have enough money to get one. It started when a guy was climbing a mountain but ended up in a village, where he saw that students in schools were using sticks and the ground as school utensils. When he got back to America he raised money and started making the schools. The goal of the schools was to educate the children. They want to give the kids the best education possible by making the teachers go through lots of training before they become teachers. They mainly focus on the women hoping that by educating them it will reduce the rate of mortality for babies. Some of the other goals are to reduce crime and to stop the war on terrorism. Today there are 11 schools in Asia trying to help the students.

The Central Asia Institute has built more than 100 schools, actually. It's pretty cool though that this organization focuses on children, espcially females, on getting an education. Not only children are getting an education, but some of the adults are as well, thanks to the Central Asia Institute. I did this organization for my memo as well and anyone can check it out on my blog at clarinetmusic1.blogspot.com
